Best Things To Do With Your Kids in the Edmonton Area This Fall
Summer is over and the school year has just begun, but before the snow hits the ground in Edmonton there are some super fun events that you can enjoy with your kids outdoors this fall. Watch the video to hear about four awesome ideas that you family can do in the fall that will be sure to be fun for everyone!
Hit the trails!
There are over 160 kms of maintained trails throughout the River Valley just waiting for your family to discover. The North Saskatchewan River Valley boasts 7400 hectares of land equaling 22 x the size of Central Park in New York! There is a huge amount of greenspace in the city, with 43 dog parks and hundreds of km’s of walking trails so why not pull out the bikes and drive to a completely different area to explore?

Edmonton Corn Maze
I can’t think of a more idyllic fall experience than the Edmonton Corn Maze. They change the design of the 15 acre maze every year to keep attendees on their toes, and there are fun family activities to enjoy, a farmer’s market with products from a ton of local vendors and gorgeous sunflowers to feast your keys on and maybe snap a few family photos with if you can get the kids to stay still for a picture. The Corn Maze is open for you to enjoy until Oct. 16th and I’ve linked the hours and admission prices below.
Pumpkins After Dark
Halloween was always my favourite growing up but I don’t think you have to be a kid to enjoy pumpkins after dark! Brand new to the Edmonton area this year, I think this event will be amazing to take in. There will be over 6000 handcrafted pumpkins on display which is incredible, with live pumpkin carving demonstrations, as well as fall treats & sweets to enjoy. This event runs Sept. 29 – Oct. 31st from 7-11pm daily.

So there you have it! Get outside and have some fun with your family this fall before it get’s too cold!
